Comments on your blog help to score high ranking in search engine. But if it is all spam, then they are useless and nothing to do with them. My blog used to receive more than 100 comments a day but 90% of the comments are spams and just collection of links to unknown websites. It is quite annoying to receive such spams a day and it saps my time to clear all the spams every day.

Recently I made some searches about blocking the spams. Most of such comments are sending by robots and they are not sent by humans. Therefore, there is no use in alexa ranking and it will not help to increase the alexa ranking. Because in actual, there is no visitor count for such visit. Therefore, it is the best move to blog such spams.

Some months back I used a WP plug-in to block all such spams. It is just like testing whether a human is giving the comment or a robot. It is known as Maths spam blocker and in this plugin, visitors must find true sum of two numbers and this task can be done my human only. And now I am using another spam blocker plugin and it is very common. In this an image will be displayed in the commenting field which consists of numbers and letters. You must enter the right numbers and letters in the field. But the maths spam blocker is far better than this image one as the later takes time to display the image.
