Recently I conducted a simple SEO test and it gives some good results. Actually I was promoting my “New proxy sites” and I didn’t want to buy links for my new site and I decided to conduct SEO experiment on this site. I have been optimizing the website for a keyword “New proxy” for about two-three weeks. Now the website ranks in the third-fourth position in the Google search engine for this particular keyword.

I didn’t invest even a penny to promote this website but use some simple and old SEO tools to promote this website for the particular keyword. Directory submission is the old practice of SEO and in the past, it helps to improve both the SERPs and the Google pagerank. But recently Google made some changes in the algorithm and after that SEO experts were confused about the effectiveness of directory submission in SEO.

Now my “New proxy Sites” website is on the fourth position of the Google search engine for the particular keyword “New proxy” which means that the website has already been optimized enough to rank in the fourth place of the first page. But the website hasn’t gain any Google PR as there has not been any Google PR update after the development of this proxy site. If it helps both Google PR and SERPs, then directory submission still works for the search engine optimization. I will share the result about PR later after the PR update.
