I just want to relate some incidents that frequently happens to many webmasters and I want to share one incident happened to me too. I wrote this for new webmaster so that they will be aware of whenever they are dealing with people in forums and other places. I guess most of the webmasters join webmaster forums with some objectives like learning something about webmaster stuffs, link exchange, link business, blog post business and many more. Well you may have different intension but I do join webmaster forums to share knowledge with other webmasters like me.

But I also participate in some small dealings like link exchange, link buying and blog post buying. I experienced many successful deals but some are unfortunate. Few months ago I bought some links from a webmaster that is in a webmaster forum (name intentionally not mentioned) but he is new there. He was selling some links and I bought three links for life time. After one month, I found that the backlink from his website got disappear and when I try to contact him. He was no more there in the forum and I was helpless. He didn’t have any reputation in the forum and also he has only few posts. So the moral of the incident is that you must not deal with webmaster of few posts with no reputation in the webmaster forums until you totally trust in them.

Sometimes some webmasters use to optimize their websites for a particular keywords only i.e., for a keyword only.Like when a website is submitting to a number of directories,they are using the same keywords.But search engine takes this as a spam and may effect the ranking of the websites.For example if you are using “SEO” all the time for a SEO websites,then google will take it as spamming.So,it is better if you use closely related keywords like “Tips about SEO”,”SEO Articles” and some others for your SEO article websites.

Every webmaster must have heard about the term RSS but many of newbie webmasters or bloggers do not know the advantage of having RSS feed in search engine optimization.RSS is Rich Site Syndication which is similar to HTML and also it is a file format similar to XML.Many publishers use this RSS feeds to get their website contents make available to many readers in any format.Subscribe to RSS feed and choose relevant contents related to your website contents.You must be wondering how RSS feed increases search engine ranking of your website.Well,by subscribing RSS feeds there will be a psrt of contents in your website.RSS feed is just like new contents in your websites.The RSS feed providers always keep updating the contents of the feed.And the search engine will consider the change of RSS feeds as the change of your website’s contents.Search Engine loves new contents in your websites and this feeds provide as fresh contents in every few hours.

What do you know about search engine robots?
Well,they are data retrieving programs which are also known as “spider” or crawler for what they do.Your websites will be indexed in search engine only when they spiders crawl on your sites.Robots collect links from each page they visit and crawl from one page to other through the links they collected.As they reach your websites,they first check the robot.txt file.This file give the information about the limits upto which the robots can enter to your website.There are many things that robots cannot do.They cannot enter the password protected area,in your websites robots will not understand flash movies,images and javascript,also they cannot click the buttons on your websites.

Summiting a webpage in a search engine means your webpage(url) will be listed in the robots’ queue of website to visit in their next outing for detection.even if you do not summit your url in search engines,robots will reach your webpages through the links which are link to you.So,increasing link popularity is also one of the important factor to get listed in search engine.
