There was a time when Google strictly push some rules to stop advertising in blogs and blog posting. But now everything is coming back to form again and nowadays many webmasters report the beneficiary of advertising at blogs and blog posts. You can simply score high ranking in search engine if you can increase your backlinks through blog posts.
I tried to promote a proxy site for some very competitive keywords and I am using only the blog postings as the tool to promote the proxy site. Now my proxy site is in the top position of very competitive keywords of proxy. Quite some time before, I thought blogging come to an end and most of the people will quit blogging because of the many new rules of Google or webmasters will start adopting new rules to give rating on WebPage.
Well, I have been in the field of blogging for quite long time and I know many rumors spread with time but you know blogging still exist for such a long time. But you will find some changes in the market and now the number of people who are blogging for money only has decreased a lot. And also there is less opportunity in the market also but we can expect the growth in the blogging again in the near future.
